Staying Vigilant as Christians Prepare for America’s New “Golden Age”
Yay! Hooray! We made it!
That is what most of the United States and much of the civilized world are cheering, now that Donald Trump has been soundly elected, and America is looking forward to a new “Golden Age.” Democrats, Republicans, RINOs, and Technology Titans are all jumping on the Trump Train that promises to fast-track all of us into a fantastic new age of peace, prosperity, and mind-blowing technology breakthroughs like never before.
Gone suddenly—are the dark days of depression, hopelessness, and dread that enveloped America for the previous four years. It now feels like we are on the brink of a whole new and better world. Hope, optimism, and enthusiasm are energizing society with a big breath of fresh air. Common sense and sound thinking are back and “The Green New Deal” has been overwhelmingly rejected, according to Trump. “MAGA” and “Drill baby, drill” are today’s mantras, like never before. It is now “cool” to be a Trump supporter. America is back!
A Reminder For Christians To Pray
It’s amazing what a difference one day can make!
As many bask in the euphoria of perceived victory, we must be careful to not let our guard down. As Christians, we are called to pray for our government leaders that God would give them wisdom and grace to rule righteously, so that we may be blessed and live in peace and prosperity. We also need to pray for their safety and protection more than ever before.
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. (1 Timothy 2:1-2)
But we are still in the end-days, and our reality can turn on a dime without warning. Man’s fantastic inventions and utopian new world can be reduced to ashes in a nanosecond, as we have seen in sudden disasters throughout the United States in recent years. In addition to unforeseen natural calamities, today’s formidable nuclear weapons or a cosmic collision could also strike at any moment, instantly turning Utopia into a dystopian nightmare. The things of this world are a fragile and capricious illusion of fulfillment that we should never base our lives upon.
Is God forewarning us through these extreme events that are taking place, and the bizarre sci-fi world that is suddenly unfolding? These kinds of scenarios are described in prophecy as signs of the end-time. Is 2025 going to be a pivotal year in which the world begins to make a major shift? Will our new normal vacillate between a world of virtual utopia one day, and a nightmare of destruction and chaos the next, as we are seeing unfold in California?
The vision God gave me forty years ago which is titled “The Train Cloud” in my book, was about a time like right now. A time of renewed optimism following a long period of dysfunction in America. And ironically, Donald Trump turned out to be a key figure in the fulfillment of that vision. But its fulfillment was delayed by a four-year interruption in which evil seemed to increase. I believe that God, in His mercy, was allowing us more time to repent, while giving us a very small taste of what Hell is like. And we didn’t like it. Even devout Democrats jumped off that sinking ship if horrors—and some seem to be repenting!
